"All's well and happy," Traci Topps said when we phoned her recently to say hi. It's been four years since she retired in 1998 but her popularity endures. In 1995, we experimented by publishing front and back covers, usually changing out the model for each one. The idea behind this was to keep the SCORE logo visible in case a newsstand browser shoved the magazine into the rack backwards, which many guys do. (This partly explains why clerks have such bad tempers.) SaRenna Lee and Lisa Lipps were lensed in the Bahamas for February, Traci Topps's cover issue. The first Boob Cruise issue hit in March. Traci Topps, Casey James, Rachel Rocketts, Carrie and a slew of other sexpots made their official debuts. Andie Stewart could have been a top SCORE Girl if not for her lethargic attitude about modeling and mag exposure. Subscriber and Boob Cruiser Richard Java's Fantastic Fantasies kicked off in July. Java was one of the first of the computer morphers and is still at it. We announced Valerie Fields' "retirement" in October...faked out again, as it turned out. A male was on the cover of September--what the fuck were we thinking? For many, the best cover of the year was November 1995: Traci Topps wore a super-lowcut sweater and licked a lollypop. You could jag-off to this cover alone. Inside, Traci Topps took on--but not in--a stud. During those days, it was "Mr. Softie Theater" due to newsstand censorial policies so everyone had to use their imagination to complete the pictures. It was a very good year overall.
